Clinton Global Initiative University

UNIL participates in the Clinton Global Initiative network of universities created by the former US President. The network aims to offer students in the partner institutions the opportunity to develop a project, combined with an action plan, to tackle the challenges of the major issues in today's world.

The International Relations Office offers administrative and financial support to students who wish to submit a project (USD 10,000 split between the projects selected).

World's Challenge Challenge

The World’s Challenge Challenge (WCC), launched by Western University in Canada, which is a UNIL partner, encourages young minds from different disciplines to come together to address a global issue (poverty, food insecurity, public health, inequality or environmental degradation), and to offer solutions to implement in partnership with local communities. A competition open to students is organised each year.
